For Chrissy – Stardust & Golden

Chrissy is now up above, but for us, she has always been above, looking out for us and showering us in her love and light. Chrissy and Alan have lived above us for over 10 years, and have become family. We’ve shared many special moments with Chrissy over the years. Whenever our cat sneaks out, one of his favorite adventures is to run upstairs to visit her and snuggle against her. She loved and was so great with cats. She has always had an open ear to listen, regardless of the hour. We’ve had many late-night chats. Her positive energy is magnetic. Often, coming home, Chrissy would be upstairs, outside on her balcony waiving with a “hello sweetheart”. It’s a warm greeting we always look forward to after a long day. Now, as we come home and look up, though we no longer see her in person, or hear her voice with our ears, we know she’s still there looking down from the stars and smiling to greet us. As one of her favorite artists, Joni Mitchel sang: “We are stardust, we are golden…” and that’s how we remember her now. We were all made from and return to stardust, and now she is the golden starlight still smiling down on us from above.
